Victoria Audition Update

Victoria DID get a call back from the company that wanted to market her. On Sat we took her to audition with Barbie. She did such a good job. She had to stand up in front of a room full of strangers and talk. She had to sing and do a commercial. She even did her dance from her dance recital. She also had to walk as if she were a model on a runway. She just did great and Vic and I were so proud of her. She really wanted to meet Barbie and we had to explain that Barbie wasn't there. But if she got the part then she would be able to take pictures with her. Oh..Ok..she says and we left. Well Sunday night we got called back to the office with the Barbie Agents and they did ask Victoria if they could use her photos for Barbie. Of course we thought that was pretty cool and are very proud of Victoria for doing such a great job. However, they asked us for her portfolio photos and we had no idea what they were talking about. Apparently before Barbie (or any other agency) can use her she has to submit her photos. So Vic and I discussed it and discussed it with Victoria and we are not sure we are going to pursue this. Not because we don't want to pay to get her pictures taken but because she is so young and so impressionable.....we just aren't sure this is the path we want to take her in right now. We just don't have complete peace about it so we let the Barbie people know we weren't interested at this time. Her marketing agent did tell us that if anything else were to come her way that she think would be right for Victoria she would let us know. But for now. We are just going to let her be little, do her dancing, swim and cheer and save the acting and photography for later when she can really grasp if that is what she wants.
