Victor and I had a great time at his first Khaki Ball at his new command. We really like the guys he is working with now. A couple of them are Christians and that is a big plus. Also Vic gets to run in the mornings with two guys who also train for marathons so that is another plus. We won 2 gift cards at the ball and had a really yummy prime rib dinner.

Victor turned 33 this year! Which makes me 32.5! ha ha....What a great looking 33 year old he is...isn't he? We had a small family birthday celebration at our house on Monday night of his actual birthday. Then on Saturday I surprised Vic to our own birthday celebration with a night out of playing Lazertag and Indian Food (one of his favorties). We also got a suite at the Marriot (Thanks Tony) where we slept in the next morning until 11am and then we went out for breakfast! Nights like that are priceless. Thanks to Mamaw for staying with Victoria so Vic and I can have some much needed one on one time. No pictures were taken so back to Monday night.....We ordered in a pizza, opened presents, played and then had a Cold Stone Ice Cream Cake. Victoria was so excited it was Vic's birthday and wanted to help him open every gift. Vic was very happy with his gifts this year which included gifts certs to the running store, running gear, workout gear and a new knife. He was very excited for his card and gift card from Uncle. Victoria helped me light the candles and brought Vics cake into him. It was his favorite Peanut Buttercup Perfection! Happy Birthday Vic....your our Perfection!
Opening his gifts......
Vic blowing out his candles.
Smile...Pizza and Cake
Look at these candles! Can you tell the fire is the same color as the candle? Its really cool...they are these new candles I bought. He notices right away. The red candles have a red flame, the green candles a green flame and so on.

Atlantic Shores Baptist Church in Virginia Beach puts on this really great festival every year called Trunk or Treating. People in their church decorate the back of their cars with different themes and hand out candy. Its really great because the themes are so neat to see and you get so much candy! The kids only have to walk from trunk to trunk. We had such a fun day with Victoria's BFF who is often referred to as Sister Sophie. Sophie's momma Karen was also putting on a fun festival at the museum where she works called the Hermitage. So we got to go to the Hermitage first and Trunk or Treating second....What a fun day the girls had!

How cool is this picture? Vic took it with our new camera and was changing out the lenses....he was playing with all the different flashes and this was some how delayed! Its the light from the fire.....You can see the camp set up in the back of it though. This would look neat really big!

Victor's brother Albert came to visit for his 28th birthday. He and Karen have become really close over the last few months so we all got to hang out while he was here. It was a fun time. Here are a few pictures......

Another Record: Vic finished his 13.1 mile run in 1hour 51 minutes. He finished 28th in his age group which is pretty good for this being his only second half marathon ever!

Joyce Meyer is a Christian Minister who speaks all over the world. She has a television ministry, a hope foundation, radio and has written over 60 books. My mom is a huge fan and Joyce's television programs is what led mom to the Lord. Every year my mom tries to make it to at least one of her conferences. This year we were both blessed enough to get to travel to St. Louis for the biggest one of all. 22,000 women packed out the Edwards Sky Dome in St. Louis for 3 days of prayer, worship and sermons. Lisa Bevere and Creflo Dollar were also there to preach and were amazing! My favorite part was Darlene Zcheche and Hillsong who lead worship for each session. Hillsong has a special place in my heart as that is where our church home here in Virginia Beach came from in Australia and it is a dream of mine and Victors to make it there one day to go to HillsongChurch. So seeing them sing live was exciting. Here is a slide show of the different things mom and I got to see and do. We had a fabulous time. Maybe next year we can go back!
