Coloring Easter Eggs

Tonight we colored Easter Eggs for the Easter Bunny to come and visit next week. Victoria really got into it this year. She loved dropping the eggs in the dye and using the little sponges to "paint" the color on. She used markers to color on the eggs as she and daddy made a "Nemo" egg.

Mamaw Jane made pretty eggs with Shrinky Dinks while wearing her silly egg holder glasses. You can always count on Mamaw to give us a good laugh.

We only had one spill tonight and it wasn't Victoria....it was daddy. Victoria said "oh oh Daddy, be careful". But he was as he showed her how to make new "fancy egg" with gloves and paint. Those turned out the best!

I got in on the action too and tried my hand at the fancy eggs. At the end of the night we proudly displayed them for all to see!!! Look....Pretty Easter Eggs!!!

Our 5th Year Anniversary

Victor and I celebrated our 5th Anniversary on Friday the 30th of March. We follow the traditional lists for gift giving. This year we were to give the gift of wood. I made him a frame with pictures of us every year we have been married. I have to say Victor out did me with giving me a beautiful wood plaque with our picture engraved on it. He "wrapped" it in a wood box filled with floating wood hearts which also had a wood card attached. I also received a vase of wood tulips and some fun wood door hangers that he made. I will never forget the thoughtful and creative gift. We celebrated the evening with dinner to our favorite restaurant The Melting Pot. We stayed the night at Cape Henry Inn on the beach. Its located on the Ft. Story Army base by our house. It was a fun night and we really enjoyed just being together.
