Dismal Swamp Stomp/Cub Run

Victor ran a 1/2 marathon at The Great Dismal Swamp in Chesapeake, VA. The weather was perfect and Vic was really looking forward to completing a half after just finishing a full marathon just a couple of weeks before. Today was special for many reasons though.....It was Victoria's first run! Vic completed his run about 10am and Victoria's Cub Run started at 11am. She ran a 1/2 mile and loved every second. Vic took her shopping the day before to get some running clothes and some running shoes. It was so special for Vic to be running with Da Missy. He is really happy that she loves being so active. It was a tearful event for momma to watch too! They are both looking forward to the next one. Now if we can just get momma to join in.....

We took Victoria to the circus. It was GREAT! We were fourth row on the floor. The tight rope walkers were right above us. If you have never been seated under a tight rope walker...its an experience you won't forget. Of course we got there early so Victoria could visit with the clowns and see the elephants up close. Her favorite performance was the white tigers. So we just had to buy the stuffed animal and the snow cone tiger cup to go with it! And we can't forget the amazing dog show. The Maltese dogs were so cute...we all swear we are gonna get our Lolli dog to do that!

Wow..Look Up There!

Please don't fall on us!

Aren't they cute?

This Chic is hanging out of the elephants mouth!

Easter Sunday

Easter morning we woke up and went to church. Wave had a huge Easter Egg hunt and a bouncer for the kids. We were meeting some new folks at the church that hadn't been before so it was pretty exciting. I got to help out and take some 58 four year olds to the egg hunt. It was huge. Victoria came home with a basket full off eggs. Then our family went to brunch at the Sheraton at the ocean front. It was a beautiful view and one of the biggest buffets we have ever seen. I highly recomment it. Kids eat free! We sat there for like 2 hours just eatting. We had to roll out of there. Then it was home to see if the Easter Bunny had made a stop at our house. He sure did. Victoria was surely taken care of with about 3 baskets and some other goodies to go with it. She even had her own personal egg hunt at the house. We ended the day playing in the back yard with Victoria's basket goodies.

Easter Party

Victoria's Pre-K class had a Easter party today and invited all the parents to join. They first did The Easter Story, sang a few worship songs, had an egg hunt in the convention center lobby and then had brunch. It was really special. I can't express how hard her teachers work and how much they really love their children. Victoria has learned so much from them and has really grown in her walk with the lord. It so amazing how much her little 4 year old mind knows that they have instilled in her. She was telling me yesterday about how Jesus was hung on the cross and was buried in a tomb but rose again in 3 days. Jesus is Alive she says. She raises her little hands to the lord in worship too. Mamaw was able to join us for the celebration! Enjoy the pictures!

School Pictures

Victoria's school pictures were last week. They got to take their pictures with a real bunny and they were so excited. I think these pictures were so good. These copies aren't the best as they are scanned but you sort of get the point!

Egg Dying

We decorated Easter Eggs today! It was alot of fun! Victoria really got into it this year. It just gets better and better. We bought four different types of kits. Her favorite was the one with puffy stickers and glitter glue. Daddy and her tie dyed eggs while mamaw and I went with the old traditional dye. Victoria is learning what the true meaning of Easter is. She was talking to me about communion today. She explained that the "bread is the bones of Jesus and the wine is the blood" I am amazed what she absorbs. She refers to the resurrection as the "reservation". ha ha Her favorite thing to do lately is make up songs. She is going to be a song writer...I just know it. LOL...but she wrote a song for Jesus about him dying for our sins and It was just amazing. I am just in awe over her. What a gift! Anyway....We hope you all are having a wonderful palm week. Hugs and Love!
