Wave Leadership Training Parrrtaaay

We had a great time at the Leadership Party that Wave put on for all of us who volunteer with the children. There was tons of food, games, pool and friends.

So...as some of you have heard. We have a minor ok major plumbing problem in our house. One of the joys of being a home owner! We had a few estimates done and realized that it would be much better to have our talented dad Vic Sr come out then to pay someone else to do it. Besides.....it was time for his annual trip to VA anyway. This year he brought Carlos (Vics step brother) with him. It was such a fun time. They got the plumbing problem fixed but also enjoyed their time. We did the beach, toured around and Water Country. I didn't get to take pictures of

everything we did but it was so great to have them here. I love the family I married into. They are the best!

July cookout

Our friend Brandon was in VA visiting from CA. It was a great weekend to have a cookout. We wanted to "break in" our new deck. Everyone had a great time and enjoyed the deck, pool, company and food. Happy Fouth of July!

Independence Day 2009

Happy 4th of July! We have decided to spend the day together as a family. We slept in late, swam in the pool, watched a movie and loaded up our bikes to ride to Mt. Trashmore to enjoy the fireworks. It was so fun riding bikes. Vic and I rode and he pulled Victoria and Lolli in the buggy behind. Our house is a 3 mile straight shot to the park and there were people everywhere. Having parties, doing fireworks, playing cornhole, talking and dancing in the street. When we arrived at Mt. Trash we found a great spot on the mountain over looking the lake. Lolli had a great time sniffing everyone who was around and getting pet from all the passer byers! Victoria ran up and down until the fireworks began. They were beautiful this year and Vic had a great time taking pictures of them. I think taking pictures is his secret hobby! Going home was an even better ride as the streets were even more crowded with party goes and fireworks. But we got to ride right threw it all. No lines for us! :-) Definetly a must do again next year!
