Christmas 2008

You Must Have Been A Beautiful Baby

I love this picture of Victoria that Vic took!

Walking In A Winter Wonderland

Victoria's class went on a field trip to Winter Wonderland at Hunt Club Farms. Parents have the option of chaperoning. Vic really wanted to go. It was such a fun day for the 2 of them. Vic took all kinds of pictures of Victoria and her friends. Its so great Vic is finally home and able to do all of these fun things with her. She loves her daddy and I just love the fact that he loves to do so many different things with her. What a great dad!

Family Gingerbread House and Cookie Making Day

So I am close to obsessed with making Gingerbread houses. It's one of those holiday traditions that I LOVE to do. I was so happy Vic was home this year to help and that Victoria was really getting into it. She did such a good job. Vic put her house together and she decorated it all by herself. Aren't they pretty? LOL After the houses were done it was onto the cookie decorating. Mamaw and Victoria made and decorated sugar cookies. We also were up late into the night making all different kinds of cookie to enjoy over Christmas!

Victoria's School Performance

Victoria's school does a Christmas performance every year where each class room sings a couple of Christmas carols, has a silent auction to raise money for the school and then ends the night with a cookie reception. Victoria's Pre-K class sang Up On The House Top and Hark the Herald. Victoria knows every word of both songs and its precious to hear her sing them. (EVERYday in the car) I was in charge of the silent auction this year and helped raise over $2,000 for our school. We ask parents to bring in items to auction. Then I took all those items home and my mom and I made over 10 gift baskets to donate. It was alot of fun and we were really proud of how pretty they turned out. Victoria was also asked to present out director with flowers for thanking her for doing such a great job with the school. It was really cute. The Christmas Performance was held in the sanctuary at our new church convention center. It was perfect!

Cheer Competition

Victoria's first cheer Champion Ship was today. She had such a blast. We got up at 4:15am and drove up to Richmond, VA. Victoria, Daddy, Mamaw, Momma and Ms. Casey. We got there around 7 and had breakfast at Denny's. Which Victoria refers to as Benny's. Then it was off to the convention center. When we walked in I thought....there is no way that kid is gonna go up on that big stage in front of all those people. But she was in aww and loved watching all the older girls teams up there cheering. Her team is called the kittens. She Cheers for VA Wild and all the teams are named after animals of some sort. I can't belive how high some of those girls are thrown into the air. Man O Man is this a fun sport. I wish I would have done it as child. Anyway....Victoria was in the part of competion called the mini's. These are 3 and 4 year olds who really just compete for fun. So we dropped her off to her coach around 10am and off she went with 6 other little ones. When they came out the crowd went crazy. The kittens lined up and started their routine. The coaches had to come out to help a bit because the overwhelming lights and people sort of caused the kittens to forget but it was the cutest thing ever! Watch the video until the end and check out their pyramid! She got a medal at the end. We are so proud of her and can't wait until her next one. Enjoy!

Busy Season

I haven't forgotten! I promise...we have seriously just being going so fast and so strong in The Meza household that I haven't had a chance to post ALL the pictures I have been taking. Today is grocery, errands, dance and marriage class at church! By the time Vic and I get around to the computer its 10 at night and we hit the hay. Victoria's cheer competition is this weekend in Richmond. Having said that...I am really hoping for a little down time Sunday after church to update you on all we have been up too. We love you all though and are always in prayer for you and that your holidays are super special!

Hugs!!!

Off to Hollywood....

Really? Maybe....So the story goes: Victoria heard a commercial on the radio a couple of weeks ago for auditions to walk onto the Hannah Montana Show. She immediately was telling us how much she wanted to do it. I called the number and asked what it was all about. We prayed about it. Vic and I took her to the audition last weekend. Victoria walked into the audition and gave them a thumbs up while telling them she wanted to be a star. They flew in from CA and were interviewing all kinds of kid ranging in age from 4 to 18. It was really interesting to be there and experience it. We really thought Victoria would be intimadated and kept telling her if she wanted to leave we could. She didn't want to and keep saying she was ready. So once it was her turn Victoria "stole the show". They asked her all kinds of questions, had her do different faces and proceeded to tell us that really like her personality and how mature she speaks for a 4 year old. They wanted to see her on camera. So they asked her to go over to the video guy and talk about ice cream. She did it. She looked right in that camera and said "my name is Victoria and I love Strawberry ice cream". She got a few friendly laughs and we left. They called me two days later to tell me that they love her and want to market her. They think she has "something" (whatever that means), This agency works for MGM, Disney, Nickelodean and Universal. They said they usually start marketing them when they are 5 but that they really like her unique look and wanted our permissions to use her pictures. Vic and I were pretty excited. I mean...of course we think she is cute and special and all of that....all parents think that of their children. But it is fun to know that someone else thinks so too...ya know? So apparently what happens now is we wait. The agent who called me said that they are going to keep her on board for when they get a phone call from one of the companies that they need a child with her "look". Then at that point they will fly us to wherever the audition is for whatever it is they are looking for. So we shall see. God has a plan and we will just see have to wait and see what that is. What a great experience this has been thus far. Vic and I have already decided that this is only going to be for fun and the minute Victoria doesn't want to do it or isn't happy about it then its done! Is a star born? We think so......

Ho Ho Ho

Santa made a special visit to Wave today. The children were so surprised. When it was Victoria's turn to get a chance talk with the Jolly Ole Soul...I snuck in and got a picture too. The benefits of working where your daughter attends school. Victoria is getting too smart for her own good though. She told me on the way home from school that Santa looks different everytime she sees him! I was like...um...well thats because he is magic! She said that last time he was thinner. I told her that was because this time he probably ate alot of cookies before his visit. Geesh....This parenting thing is rough. Ha ha....Its these things that bring a smile to my face everyday!

Christmas Dance Recital

Want to see something cute? Watch This.... Victoria is the second one from the end and Sophie is next to her. Sophie has the black tap shoes on. This was just classic!

Decorating the Tree

We had a great time decorating our tree for the first time in our new house. It was really special this year since Vic is home. Victoria had a great time unwrapping all the ornaments and talking about them. Then she would go and find a perfect spot for it on the tree. She did a pretty good job too. We didn't have to move around too many this year after she went to bed. :) She also got to decorate her own little PINK tree for her bedroom. Now that is a treat! She was especially excited to get out her Christmas books. We have already read Polar Express 3 times tonight!

Thanksgiving

Thanksgiving was so peaceful and fun. Karen and Sophia came over to spend the night on Wed night. The girls were so excited to have a sleep over and wake up in their jammies. We watched the parade and cooked our feast. Mamaw, Karen, Vic and I all helped. The girls did crafts, played, ate goodies and even got a gift. I am so glad that Karen got to come over and hang with us this year. Thank you God for our family and friends.

A School Thanksgiving

Victoria's Pre-K class had a special presentation for the parents today followed by a feast. It was such a wonderful afternoon. Her teachers are just awesome and really love their kids. They taught the kids 2 songs, gave them all Indian Names which they proudly stood to announce and recited a poem. then we went for some fun in their classroom. The kids all made their special stone soup which was pretty much nothing but veggies. Victoria Loved it and Mrs. Michelle swears its because they made it themselves. The highlight of the day...Victoria got to pray infront of the whole class and all the parents. The teacher stood up before us all and asked Victoria to pray for the day. So she gladly stood her little 4 year old self up there and prayed to God to bless their performance and to nourish their bodies with the food. She also thanked all the parents for coming. It was such a special moment! I was really proud of her!
