Decorating the Tree

We had a great time decorating our tree for the first time in our new house. It was really special this year since Vic is home. Victoria had a great time unwrapping all the ornaments and talking about them. Then she would go and find a perfect spot for it on the tree. She did a pretty good job too. We didn't have to move around too many this year after she went to bed. :) She also got to decorate her own little PINK tree for her bedroom. Now that is a treat! She was especially excited to get out her Christmas books. We have already read Polar Express 3 times tonight!

Thanksgiving

Thanksgiving was so peaceful and fun. Karen and Sophia came over to spend the night on Wed night. The girls were so excited to have a sleep over and wake up in their jammies. We watched the parade and cooked our feast. Mamaw, Karen, Vic and I all helped. The girls did crafts, played, ate goodies and even got a gift. I am so glad that Karen got to come over and hang with us this year. Thank you God for our family and friends.

A School Thanksgiving

Victoria's Pre-K class had a special presentation for the parents today followed by a feast. It was such a wonderful afternoon. Her teachers are just awesome and really love their kids. They taught the kids 2 songs, gave them all Indian Names which they proudly stood to announce and recited a poem. then we went for some fun in their classroom. The kids all made their special stone soup which was pretty much nothing but veggies. Victoria Loved it and Mrs. Michelle swears its because they made it themselves. The highlight of the day...Victoria got to pray infront of the whole class and all the parents. The teacher stood up before us all and asked Victoria to pray for the day. So she gladly stood her little 4 year old self up there and prayed to God to bless their performance and to nourish their bodies with the food. She also thanked all the parents for coming. It was such a special moment! I was really proud of her!

Grand Illusion....why?

We went with some friends to watch the Grand Illusion parade in Norfolk tonight. Umm...not sure why it is called the Grand Illusion! We didn't see much illusion. However, we had a great time cheering on all the school bands and local charities. They did have some cool big balloons too. Victoria had fun with the other kids and we agreed that next year we will watch it from inside AJ Gators...The local sports bar located right on the main strip! ha ha

The Murphy's...These are some great friends of ours. Josh and Vic volunteer together at church. Megan and I work together at the preschool.

Santa, I want.....

After the parade tonight there was virtually no line to see Santa. Victoria thought the set up at the McCarthur Center was so cool since it was Polar Express. She wanted to see Santa. So even though she didn't have on her cute Christmas outfit we obliged. A little birdie told me Santa is coming to see her at school this year so she is going to get to tell the jolly ole boy that she wants that Tinkerbell Bike a few times!!!

Little Colts Fan

Mamaw loves The Colts! So of course she has taught Victoria to LOVE them too. The Colts won their game last night in the last 2 seconds of the game against The Chargers. It was great....So of course Victoria had to wear her Colts Beanie to show her team spirit. I took this picture this morning on the way to school.

Victoria Asked Jesus In Her Heart

Tonight was an amazing night for us. Vic had duty which is few and far between. Mamaw heard on the radio that Bibleman was coming to a church out in Portsmouth. Victoria loves Bibleman. She started watching it on the Christian stations and has seen them all. So we bought her a few of the movies. Tonight Bibleman was coming to premiere his new movie and do a autograph signing. What we didn't know what that Bibleman is actually a pastor and decided to start an "acting" career as a way to reach children. So at the end of his presentation he did sermon for the children explaining what it means to accept Jesus as their Lord and Savior. Victoria was all gun ho and practically ran to the front to pray the prayer. I started to go with her but she wanted to do this on her own....is what she told me. I didn't have a camera to take pictures of this amazing experience in her life. But I did get to take some pictures of her meeting Bibleman after words. When we got home we talked about it and she really did understand. She told me...now she can go to heaven to meet Jesus when its time. I told her she was right. :) It the moments like these that are priceless.

Exercise

Victoria loves to Exercise. She is always wanting to Exercise like Daddy and mom. She begs us to let her walk on the tredmill! Its pretty funny....So today she got a workout video in the mail from a relative. She LOVES it. I took some pictures when I came in room. I couldn't believe how well she was following along with the instuctor on the TV. Maybe she inhereted that from Vic? God....I hope so.

Thanks Tan

Tan mailed Victoria these colored packing foams that you can create with. We all just had a great time making all sorts of fun little gadgets. Look at these silly things. Thanks Tan...Victoria love it.

I love my Jamie Lynn

Jamie came to visit me for a week! I am so blessed to have her in my life. We had such a great time. I miss her so much so when she gets to make her annual trip out to VA its so great. We spend the week just hanging out. We do all the girly stuff we miss doing together thru out the year. We go shopping, talk, eat, do our nails, stay up late talking, we do church, we talk, go thru closets, cook, talk and hang out! Did I mention that we talk? ha ha...Here are some pictures that we took while she was here.

Thanks

I just wanted to tell EVERYONE thank you so much for the nice email responses I received from this blog. I really enjoy posting the pictures and giving you as many updates as I can on our family. Sometimes it's time consuming and I don't always get to add everything that I would like....but it makes it so much more fun knowing that you all read it. We love our family and friends and you are so important to us. Thanks for all your prayers, blessings and love!

OBX 1/2 Marathon

Vic, Mamaw, Victoria, Lolli and I all headed down to Outerbanks on Saturday. It was such a fun trip. We drove around, did some shopping and ate too at some cute little restaurants. Its only about 1.5 hour drive from Virginia Beach and this little town is so cute! Especially Manteo....Outerbanks is also often referred to as Duck, Nags Head, Kill Devil Hills and Kittyhawk which is where the Wright Brothers first flew the plane. All these towns are on like a 26 mile stretch. But anyway, Vics 1/2 marathon was this morning. We dropped him off at the finish line and then went to cheer him on at the 7 mile marker. He was pleasantly surprised to see us. It really ups his time when he sees his family standing with cow bells screaming out his name. Then off to the 11 mile marker for more cheering. The best is the hugs at the finish line (the 13.2 milemarker) and seeing how great he did. This time he placed 400 in 3000 people. His time was 1.52. He was one minute more then has last race BUT he had to go across a 1mile bridge which was up hill the whole way! It was hard for me to even drive up it. Ha ha So we are VERY happy with his results. The Next Race is the Full Shamrock Marathon in March! Vic is already looking forward to it.
This is the 1 mile bridge he had to run up. You can see the cones dividing out the runners from the traffic. This picture really doesn't do the bridge justice. I was amazed at the steepness of it.
Here is a view from the top of the bridge.
Mamaw waving her cowbell cheering on the runners. This is a really fun part of the day.
Aww....Family love...This is the BEST Part. Vic gets his finishers medal, his time and hugs from the family! Lolli did a great job too. She was quite the little traveler. She even took some rides in the doggie purse!

Gravedigger

We also got to see where GRAVEDIGGER (the monster truck) was born. The official GRAVEDIGGER Dungeon Autoshop was on the way down to OBX. That was really neat to see. They have like 4 GRAVEDIGGER trucks, the auto shop, a gift shop, a diner and all the trucks they use to transport GRAVEDIGGER. Check this out.......
