Halloween Clown

There was a parade and party at Victoria's school. Since I work there part time....I decided to dress up too. There are such a great group of women I work with. Victoria enjoys school and had a fun time dressing up as a clown. She was ready for the make up to come off after an hour though. We got to go to the church and trick or treat on all the Pastors doors. At the end of the route was the Beach Frog....now that is exciting.

Pumpkin Carving and Cookie Decorating

We forgot to buy our pumpkin carving kits this year. Cody wanted a spider and Victoria didn't care. So I just made an old generic face for Victoria and Jamie tried to make a spider for Cody. Victoria refused to touch the inerds....she thought it was "grossening." So Thankfully we bought a Halloween cookie decorating kit and they got very involved in decorating those.

Trunk or Treating

Every year we go to Atlantic Baptist Church for their Trunk or Treating. We it was special this year because Jamie was in town and she got to go with us. All the members of the church line their cars up in the back and decorate them. Then the children go from trunk to trunk to get candy. By the end of the night you have a whole Walmart bag full of candy. It is alot of fun seeing how all the different cars decorate. They also have games and a live band. This year they made an Wizard of Oz Tent to walk thru and they were giving away full size candy bars....it was crazy!

Daddy Birthday

Vic was home for a week during his deployment. It was nice because we actually got to celebrate his birthday with him. It wasn't as big of a hoopla as we normally like to do since his stop home was unexpected. But he had some gifts and a cake. He had to leave to fly to Italy the day of his birthday but just being home made this 32nd birthday....special!

Kangaroo Jacs

Vic and Victoria like to go to Kangaroo Jacs. Since Vic was home we decided to take Jamie and Cody there too. They had a ball climbing the tall latters and sliding down the slides. The favorite for everyone is the big 20ft jumper. Its so high up to the top that when you slide down your stomach drops....its fun for big kids too :)

Daddy is Here

Daddy is on deployment but this week he had to fly home a fellow sailor who shot himself in the foot. Because of that....we got to spend a week with him that was unexpected. It was so wonderful to get to see him. It really broke his deployment up. What a gift from God to do that for us. We miss him so much. While he was home....we all went to Hunt Club to do the pumpkin patch and pet the animals.

Yankee Candle

The Yankee Candle Factory in Williamsburg is huge. We took the kids there as they have hayrides, make your own candle, decorate a pumpkin, face painting and a Winter Wonderland that really snows. It was a short 1.5 hour drive up to Williamsburg from Virginia Beach. It smells so good in there and you want to buy everything!!!

Crazy Girls

Mom and Jamie decided to color each others hair.....I am not sure if I had more fun taking the pictures or if they had more fun doing it! The dye ended up on the walls and sink.....after that it was to the TV to laugh at our girl "cheryl"........

Girls Night-Oct

I have this awesome group of girlfriends that I have become very close with in Virginia. We refer to ourselves and the Boom Boom Sisters. I see the Boom Boom's all the time but once a month we make time for ourselves to get together and do something without the kids or husbands. Being that we are all military wives...we are slowly losing some Boom Booms. But we vow to always remain close and keep in touch. This month we all got together for dinner and a night of Karaoke. Dawn and Sarah are the only ones who really sang but it was fun watching and singing along with all the other people there.

Me and Jamie

Jamie and Cody came from AZ to visit us. They stayed for 2 weeks and we had a blast. We did something everyday they were here. I am so blessed to have Jamie in my life.....She even became a Boom Boom!

Childrens Museum

While Jamie was here we took the kids to the Childrens Museum. We parked in Norfolk and took the ferry boat to Portsmouth where the museum is. The kids were so excited to be on the boat. I think they liked it more then the museum!!! Then we had a really good dinner at Joes Crab Shack which sits on the ocean at this place called Waterside. The have a playground in the restaurant and if you have kids...you know what a great idea that is!

Daddy Doll

We got this doll for Victoria so she could have her daddy to hold on to all the time while he is gone on deployment....Looks like I am enjoying it to.......

Field Trip

Today Victoria went on her first field trip at "big girl school" as she calls it. She is in preschool 3 days a week now and really seems to like it. She looks forward to school days so I think that is a good sign. Today she got to ride the bus to the fire training station in Virginia Beach. They put on a puppet show taught the kids how to crawl thru faux smoke.

Here she is riding on the back of the school bus next to her friend Alana. Her favorite teacher Miss Casey is seated behind her.

Here are all the students watching the puppet show put on by the firemen who were dressed up as clowns.

Practicing crawling under smoke. Remember to Stop, Drop and Roll......
